In-mold labeling plastic containers
Lightweighting and thin-wall design reduce material usage and the carbon footprint of transportation. PP IML cups maintain strength while achieving weight reduction, and their lower material consumption translates into significant advantages in terms of carbon emissions and transportation efficiency.
The printing effects are diverse.
IML supports double-sided/inside-and-out printing, QR codes/digital watermarks, and a variety of surface finishes (such as matte, metallic, and transparent).
Oil-resistant and anti-penetration performance
The PP IML container exhibits excellent resistance to dairy fats and fruit acids, preventing oil penetration or corrosion from acidic contents that could lead to label discoloration or delamination.
Optional barrier layer extends shelf life
Integrating an EVOH oxygen barrier layer or a light-shielding formulation into the IML label significantly reduces oxygen permeability and the effects of light exposure, thereby extending the shelf life of sensitive products such as cheese and jam.
